Putting an End to Dry Skin in the Winter: It's Easier than You Think
If your skin is starting to look like the image above, we're here to help.
It's that time of year, at least here on the east coast where your lips get chapped, your face gets absurdly dry, and your hands start to look like the back of a lizard.
I'm not roasting, we all know it's true and happens to most of us. So I wanted to share a few things, to help you keep your skin looking prime during this season.
- Drink water. It's simple but you should drink at least half your body weight, in ounces, of water per day. So if you weigh 180 lbs, drink at least 90 fl oz of water. This would equate to about 5.6, 16 fl oz water bottles per day. Simple math, I know, but just get your water in.
- Use a good lip balm. The cheap chapstick tubes or petroleum jelly will only work for a few hours and won't hydrate your lips. It may cost an extra few bucks but using lip balms that contain, shea butter, vitamin E, and beeswax make a huge difference!
- Make sure you moisturize your hands! If you're like me, I use hand sanitizer and wash my hands pretty often. With that, the hangnails and lizard action can come on quickly. The best way to combat this is to just keep a small bottle of lotion on you at all times.
With these quick tips, your skin will thank you!
